Fashion Tech is a project made in collaboration with Hummel Kids. Together with material engineer Katharina Knorth we designed seasonless childrenswear.
With build-in implementations of heat and air- we created a micro-climate adaptable way of dressing. The collection has implementation of lights too. The light makes the children visible when it’s dark, so they are safe in traffic.
When it comes to designs for children, it is also important to make it fun. We used thermochromics pigments for the prints in the collection, making it possible for the print to change the color according to temperature. The collection is inspired by the Hummel bumblebee in colors and shape, which gives it a playful look for children. It also maintains Hummel ́s sporty expression and silhouettes.
The collection were a part of CPHFW at CIFF, and at the catwalk for AWOW - Aarhus Walks on Water
